Founded in 1980 by casting director Thea Meulenberg, Thea Meulenberg Casting is a Dutch commercial casting agency based in Amsterdam with nearly 50 years of experience.
Before founding the agency, Thea worked as a model herself. Her experience in front of the camera gave her valuable insight into talent, productions and the importance of finding the right people for every project. Driven by her passion for people and performance, she built Thea Meulenberg Casting into a trusted casting partner for production companies, advertising agencies, photographers and brands in the Netherlands and internationally.
Since 2018, her son Laurens Meulenberg and daughter-in-law Sevina Meulenberg have continued the family legacy, leading the agency with the same dedication, industry knowledge and personal approach to casting.

The Meulenberg family
Laurens grew up within the family business and gained valuable experience in front of the camera as a child model before moving into the film industry as a camera operator. With more than 25 years of experience on set, he understands both the creative and practical sides of production.
Sevina brings extensive experience from the advertising industry, marketing and communication. Her international background, project management skills and experience working on photography and film productions worldwide provide valuable insight into the needs of brands, agencies and production teams.
Together, Laurens and Sevina combine their love for the film industry, creativity and complementary backgrounds to continue building on the strong foundation established by Thea.
